    Barry is the rail bracket drilled into a timber stud and broken it out? If not, move it to a stud. If it is on a stud you may be able to drill out and glue in a dowel to make the mount sound. If the mount is biased towards one side, move it a bit so it's in the centre of the stud. If the stud is really split, cut the sheeting out around it and see what needs to be done eg glue and clamp or glue in a patch.

    As above

    Totally useless fixing to a wall sheeting no matter what it is, it needs to extend into a structural member.
