Default Please assist with identity and use of this liquid tipping devise

The item mentioned above is a copper (I think) vessel mounted on gimbals on a stand and designed to tip 90 degrees in one direction only to discharge its contents through a spout that is on the top rim of the vessel. There is a pipe in front for injecting a fluid/liquid into the vessel that is held in a vertical position by an elementary locking device.
I have beenIMG_5950.jpgIMG_5957.jpgIMG_5959.jpgIMG_5963.jpg unable to find any kind of identification anywhere on the structure. Please see the attached photos to assist with identification.

If the bottom of the copper part sits inside the iron bowl, then the pipe-work probably is the heating. Steam or hot water, effectively making it a double-boiler.
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Thank you for the replies chaps, i have not dismantled it yet but it does look like is functioned as a double boiler.
