Default Getting a frog out of a car

    Hey guys,
A frog has gotten in to my car, it's not a cane toad, he's about 60mm long and as green as a leaf so I'm guessing some sort of tree frog.
I don't want to kill it, or let it die and stink out the car, I think he's under the dash which I can't get in to due to my size and back issues.
On the plus side, I removed the back seat base (it's a Falcon wagon) to look for him and found a sidchrome breaker bar I lost nine years ago.

Is there a spray or scent I can use that won't hurt it but encourage it to leave?
    Cheers
    Smidsy

He’ll be one of these; a green tree frog (also known as a Dumpy Frog)

I have many on my property and think they’re great. They hunt at night and don’t usually have a particular “home” so having disturbed him he’ll probably find a new hidey-hole, but if you want him to leave now just give him somewhere to move to overnight. If you have a car port or similar with a light then park your car close by and leave a door or window open so he can see out and leave easily. The light will attract the bugs; the bugs will attract him. He’ll start moving after dusk so maybe after 9 (or later if you can) go out see if you can spot him under the lght. If so then move your car away. Give him something to move into; like a watering can.

The only time they annoy me is when it rains and they crawl into drain pipes to sing; the pipes amplify their croaking. “Didgerifrogs” my daughter used to call them!
Nothing succeeds like a budgie without a beak.

+1. Perhaps even a pot plant in the car near where he is will give him somewhere to go.

We had frog chasers where I used to work on Cockatoo Island. This one was called a "vindscreen viper".

Ah, the well known Vinder's Green Viper, named by the famous German herpetologist, Fritz Vinder. He and his colleague Gustave Steppl visited Australia in the 19th century and named a few Australian snakes, including this one and the Steppl Adder, often found relaxing in the sun against a wall.

Or place a series of small logs in an offset pattern leading out the door. He will attempt to jump from log to log. If you can't find small logs, hotwheels cars will do. He will nimbly avoid each car as he crosses from one side of the car to the other. I'm pretty sure I saw that on a documentary in the 80's
