Lightbulb Greetings from Stephen from Orange, NSW

Greetings. I have been teaching Industrial Arts (now referred to as TAS) since 1983 and have enjoyed passing on woodworking skills to high school students. I also teach metalwork, Engineering, Automotive, Graphics and STEM. Quite a mixed bag in all. I have designed and owner built a passive solar home, which works incredibly well in cold Orange.
I have restored several cars and motorbikes, the latest project being a 1962 Sunbeam Alpine. I also have 1949 Austin A40 tourers, 1954 Humber super snipes and a 1949 AJS500.
I built my own long bed lathe modelled on the school standard woodfast and made a number of tools to suit. I have the usual hand tools and machines, but am currently restoring 3 band saws. The current one is a 12" Paulco which I will paint tomorrow. I was gifted one of those flimsy 3 wheel bandsaws that JBS and many others put their brand on. Finally I have an unidentified bandsaw with "E.LACEY P.A.F HAWTHORN.VIC" cast into it. the body is 2 piece heavy cast iron which bolts together, bushes, not bearings and will be great to finally get it together.
As I am looking at retiring in the next few years, I now need to start getting my own equipment that I have had access to over my teaching career, so will be on the lookout.

    Cheers
