Internet Service Providers.
This is not intended as spam.
Just as a follow up on a recent thread on broadband.
As some of you may know I tried Bigpond and then went with Internode.
Bigpond is still charging $39.95/month for 400Mb, this includes uploads as well as downloads, and then you get charged excess fees over 400Mb.
When I went with Internode they were charging $39.95/month for 2 Gigabyte download, no charge for uploads and no excess usage charges, they just slow down to dialup speed.
I have just found out that as of the next monthly billing period my download limit has changed.....to 8 Gig. at no extra charge.
Work it out for yourself
Internode = 200.25 Mb per dollar, free uploads.
Bigpond = 10.01 Mb per dollar including uploads.
PS. This was only announced today, just recieved an email from them telling me I get upgraded tomorrow.

I don't have the internet, it's just a fad that will pass.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

I get 12 Gig at $59, excess at 4c per meg ( I think).
Iv only ever, sorry, we, have ( the boy and me) only exceeded the max once, it cost 1c..................
Lookie, lookie here.

Internode $49.95 = 20Gig.
I'm not spamming, it's just that I'm so impressed with them.

I should do something about my broadband.
I'm with Optus paying 34.95 for 400 mb.
It's cable though rather than ADSL.
Thing is I don't usually hit the 400 mb

I would second Termite's recommendation. Have been with Internode for nearly ten years (from Adelaide to Gold Coast), and found their service outstanding. They seem to be regularly upgrading their technology to keep pace with the latest developments. We have the 1500kbit plan for $69.95/month and 20G download. Fast, and makes the internet so much more enjoyable.
(No financial interest in the company; just a happy customer)
