    Default Flemington Market

We have applied for a stall ot the monthly Flemington Up Market.
Apart from selling stuff it will get us in Melbourne regularly where there are (or used to be) some cheap timber & other goodies suppliers.

Very impressed by a ceramics stall specialising in leprechauns (faeries) reckon Al might even find one for the top of his toadstool.

Bugger now I'll have to go and finish painting the walls of our stall.
(BM isn't the only one who don't finish jobs)

Its offiucial, we bin accepted, start on Jan 22.
This group of markets tries to ensure variety and frowns upon copyright and IP infringements. Have a look at their rules on their website.

Do they have a secret hand shake too.
Yep when you come a visiting put a $50 in the hand you shake wit me
hmmm almost covered me stall fees if Al turns up!!!

Our main products will be limited edition framed prints like some of these on our website www.exclusiveprints.ausmade.com.au

Got some different woodie things in mind and might even get some stuff done but getting the stall humpy finished and some mods to the trailer take precedence. Bum, it was hot and dry Thursday and wet yesterday and today. Will spray it all in the next couple o days.

I need to set the trailer up so it becomes my mobile stockroom so I don't mess around loading and unloading between markets.

We are off to the Flemington market this sunday.
I expect it won't be a good market day coz of the predicted hot weather.
Got some other things to do in Melbourne so we are off tonight

So how was it? Crowds normal or did people have more sense and stay in the cool?

My son went running in the Rip to River run, 10km on Sunday morning. He was ok but they were ferrying people off with IV drips. Should have cancelled it.

The crowds were well down but there was still quite a few around before bout 11am. But nobody did any good which was expected coz of the heat.

The managements gunna get told that in future I won't attend markets on total fireban days or there are bushfires in my region.

I need to rework my stall as it takes too long to setup and knock down.
I left the back open so I had a nice draft thru the stall and was comfortable given the temperature.

When I was packing up the wind direction unexpectedly changed and rolled my supercheap carport. That won't happen again as I'll peg the frame independently in future.

Bent a few frame rods. Just finished straightening them and reinforcibg the bent areas with some pine dowel.

First time I've used the supercheap lathe since I got it.
I found it quite satisfactory for spindle work.
