Hi From Melbourne!
Hi everyone,
Really looking forward to being apart of this forum. So much great information available.
Recently taking up restoring my Grandpa's old tools. A 1972 *i think* Woodfast lathe will be the master piece. I also have a bandsaw, drill press and bench grinder to play with too.
Will see what i can come up with.
Regards
Vossy

Welcome to the forum Vossy. Very handy to have some "hand me down" tools and you will appreciate them more when you have done the work on the resto. Hopefully your other machines were also made in the same era as the lathe and be good solid machines.
Look forward to seeing some of your work when you get up and running with projects.
One of my best mates is known as Vossy tooDallas

Thanks everyone, I’m pretty excited about it all and i really would love to keep my grandpa's wood working legacy alive. He's 93 now with dementia setting in but many years back he gave me a few lessons on the lathe and i spent hours watching him when i was a kid. I'll try and keep you apprised on my adventures and learnings.
I think the other machines are all made around the mid-1980's and seem pretty solid. They just need some serious love from surface rust and then general servicing with new blades, grinding pads etc.
