Default Do 33 deg nails fit a 34 deg air framing nailer?

    Probably a silly question.

Building a deck, treated pine structure with merbau decking.

I have purchased a framer that takes 34 deg nails. I was going to use it for skew nailing the joists and nailing the nogs or blocking or whatever its called in between the joists instead of hand nailing. I figure it will increase the accuracy and save a heap of time.

I am a little confused with purchasing the nails. I know I need gal 75 x 3. I can see 33 deg and 34 deg nails. Do these both work in a 34 deg nail gun?

Unfortunately, I need to buy many more than I need ether way. I can but a smaller and cheaper amount of 33deg nails than I can 34deg... I would have thought that 1 deg would be barely noticeable and they would be interchangeable but I dont want to ruin a brand new gun. I did notice that one brand called them a 33 - 34 deg nail...

Any ideas? I would appreciate a push in the right direction of you know the answer..

Yep, they work. Had the same question as you when I got my Paslode nailer. Quickly realised that Paslode only sell one angle of nails and was different to what the gun was.

Bottom line, just make sure you have the correct type, ie don't put full head with clipped nails and you'll be fine.

Some more helpful suppliers split boxes and sell by the stick - very handy when you only want a few.
