Filing cabinet 6 drawer
Visited a property yesterday not realising they were clearing everything off the property ready for the bulldozers to come through. The shed had been bought down in a hurry with everything still in it. Sadly white ants had gotten to all the stored timber taken from the original farm houses of the district. I managed to rescue a lot that was to be burnt including a 6 drawer filing cabinet. Managed to find 5 drawers spread through out. This morning the owner let me know he has found the 6th at his new property.. One drawer is well eaten but enough is left to make it whole again. I really wanted the bottom fittings for mu others drawers recently acquired. This set will go to my shed for storage.
The pictures below show a basic strip by sanding and eventually a simple sealing. I might try the polishing of polyurethane I saw here.
