Default Cabinet restoration, veneer expert required!

I知 new here and looking for someone that can help me with my restoration project.

I have a collectable jukebox from the 80s that still has its original veneer but it has started checking on one side with little cracks. It also has a few dings here and there. I have considered having it sanded and new coat of lacquer but the veneer is very thin and it wouldn稚 fix the other imperfections in the wood.

I知 looking to have it reveneered but I知 having trouble finding where to take it. I知 based in Melbourne but I知 willing to look interstate if I can find someone with the skill and expertise that can help.

After some research online I知 lead to believe application by vacuum pump is the best approach. It needs to be a top quality job and I知 willing to pay for it.

If anyone has any suggestions or is interested in the project please get in touch.

    Thanks in advance.

PM Auscab, he should be able to help. He did a sewing machine cabinet for me with far worse issues. Lucky for you he is in Victoria.

If collectible, you may need to insist on retaining the veneer, rather than replacing it. From your description, it may be possible to lift it up and syringe in glue, and then clamp flat.

Thanks Chris, have sent a PM.

Derek: You might be right, the veneer does still looks pretty nice. I'd be concerned about finding veneer to match the original colour and grain.

Also worth noting this is the OP - I made a new account via the forums website. My original account was created through the tapatalk app on my phone and I was having issues with access and verification.
