    Default Federation Carver Chair

This chair belonged to my great grandfather and has languished in my shed for twenty years, I finally got around to restoring it last month. I completely pulled every joint apart, re jointed, sanded and hand polished it over about six days. I then set about re upholstering a new seat, my first attempt at upholstery. It has a few dogs teeth marks in the stretchers and some dings and nicks which I left as I wanted it to retain its character.
    pretty happy with the result.

I have never seen a rocking footrest before. You have done a wonderful job in restoring it to probably better than new condition. Very proffesional looking!

Thankyou Uncle Al, just my second attempt at upholstery, first was the carver chair, amazing what you can learn on Google, YouTube and forums like this one.
