Novice with Redgum slab, the return..
Thanks to all the advice I've received here, I've made some progress with the redgum slab.
I'm currently at the stage of sanding down after filling the holes with resin (Techniglue + Solid Solutions black, worked great.).
Once this is done, I guess I need to sand to a finish, and then oil/coat..
My questions are, should I just oil, or oil then clear coat? The table is for indoor use.
What kind of oil, and what kind of clear coat?
I want to darken the wood, as the redgum is a little pale compared to the resin. If I wet the wood, then it looks perfect, so I gues that's the look I'm going for.
Thanks a lot for any advice,
Moray
