G’day from Perth
Hi,
I am an inexperienced woodworker, did some at school and with my grandad. I want to make a small workbench and a couple of basic garden benches to start with. Looking forward to getting into the info available here.
Cheers

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum...
There are quite a few members in Perth, across West as well as across the whole country & the globe.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist
Keep showing off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork..
Cheers crowie

Welcome to the forum.
I would start with making one garden bench as this will be exposed to the weather it can be a little rough. Then you can build the workbench and the garden bench will be of use as your experience has already increased.
Take a look at this sub-forum https://www.woodworkforums.com/f213 of the site it might give you an idea of what you might want to build. One thing to keep in mind when building a work bench is that this becomes personal BUT don't forget that this after all is a tool to be used in making something.
