Assistance setting up 12 inch bandsaw in garage
Hi I have recovered from a mild burn injury to my hand (non-woodwork) related. Want to get into woodworking as planned before the accident. I'm looking for someone to help me set up my Hare and Forbes 12 inch band saw as it is new and in the box at the moment.
I can do some of the screwing and inserting and need someone to help unpack the box and follow the manual instructions.
Noble Park location offering $50.00 to help set up the band saw including a blade. Machine is already in the garage. Looking for someone next week- first week of school holidays. Daytime ok.

Pity you are not closer as I would be happy to help. Might be better if you put this request in the Woodworking General forum as this one is not a common one for people to look in.

You're also a long way from me. Go to YouTube and search "Alex Snodgrass" he has a 35 minute video with watching.

Not sure how this came to be recycled, by I went down from Alexandra and assembled the saw for Nattie and gave her some basic instruction when it was a fresh post a couple of years ago, so that problem was solved, I believe. Apparently she hasn't been back on board since.
I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.

Good on you for making that trip and helping out malb. Had a holiday not far from you last December in Taggerty and all the area around you is beautiful.
Not sure why George resurrected this thread.Dallas
