    Default waterproofing a flat roof

I've got one of those horrible flat roofs. Vile stuff I know.

Its got a few leaks (as they all do) that I need to fix. I was hoping to use one of those paint on kind of waterproofing products - but after advice as to the best thing to use.

I ahve addressed most of the problems causing the leaks (blocked drains, bloody useless previous owners) but I still want to use this stuff around a few problem areas.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Cheers

the yanks are experts in this stuff - I am NOT! But again, would suggest you ask the ARCHICENTRE nearest you for assistance/advice. The stuff that comes to mind is a bitumen product that you stick to areas and then I think you heat it up with a blowtorch to get it to bond, but as I said I aint no expert

it depends what the existing membrane is, the best bet is to redo the whole roof inclduing laying new plywood if the existing has got wet. A torch on membrane is the shot, this is a job for the pro's.

if replaciung the roof, I reckon add a slope to it and put colorbond on top..... then add a deck and railing, and enjoy the views!
