Refurbish old Wagner HVLP Finecoat 5000 spray unit
IMG_0340.JPGIMG_0339.JPGIMG_0341.JPGHi,
I have an old Wagner HVLP spray unit that I want to refurbish. It is still working but the gasket for the pot to gun was missing. I tried to make one but ended in a mess as leaked badly. Can anyone advise on where I could get the right material for the gasket? Also looking for advise in cleaning the old lacquer of it. I'm not painter but looking to learn.
Cheers,

You can buy ‘gun cleaner’ for cleaning the gun. Lacquer thinner should do it just as good.
I just soak the gun (disassembled) in a jar with thinner. Avoid soaking rubber seals etc.Apologies for unnoticed autocomplete errors.
