    Default Why?

Why does a giraffe have a long neck?

    Because its feet stink.

That's why it has long legs.
The long neck is to check if its feet stink.
    +1 for the groan button.

Little known fact: The Giraffe is the only animal that can walk into a Manhattan bar and say "the highballs are on me".

I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Nothing unusual about that Doug. Just as Garfield and Footrot Flats Dog are able to have sensible thoughts, it is totally believable that a highbrow animal such as the Giraffe can talk.

A Giraffe walks into a bar and the Barman says "Why the long face?"

And then the giraffe thought, in a Garfield or Footrot Flats dog kind of way, "No thanks, I've already got one."
