Hi from Perth (Mandurah)
Hi All,
I am a weekend (headband) warrior who has the most limited knowledge and exposure to woodworking out here. I picked up some scrap timber to make a loft bed for my son and have since gotten hooked. Have built some built in shelves in the robes, and am currently working on a fold up desk for under my son's loft bed. I have some basic tools and am interested in hybrid hand/power tool work to achieve some of the more 'traditional' joinery methods. My goal is to replace all the flat pack, chip board furniture littering our house with decent furniture hand made by me.
I have found this to be a very enjoyable hobby however the wife regrets encouraging me as we no longer have a garage suitable for cars!
If anyone lives in the area and would like to get in touch please don't hesitate to contact me.
Any tips/trick/ideas are more than welcome!
Cheers,
Chris (aka Headband Warrior)

There are quite a few members in Perth and across West.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
