    Default Used timber finishing

Hi all, I'm making a coffee table out of an old Totara beam, think it has an oil stain.
Looking for info on a coating to keep the rustic, used look.
Was going to epoxy it but don't think that'll be a go, maybe just oil with wax filling the gaps.DSCF2459.JPGDSCF2458.JPG

Hand rubbed oil should keep the rustic look best i'd say. Something satin in finish would be good.
