Gday,,

I just got myself s bargain and bought a commercial glass door front fridge second hand but spotless and only 6 months old..

However,, aside from damaging the car as I was leaving with the trailer I also damaged the fridge in two ways on the way home...

Firstly,,, I left the racks in the fridge while driving -- the racks dropped inside the 2.2m tall fridge and scraped onto the sharp support pieces... In doing so the plastic on each side of the racks is roughened up on the underside to the point where metal is showing...

I know that within a matter of days if I don't act fast the untreated exposed metal will rust so I'm after ideas to stop this occurring.... It's on the underside and I'm a functional man so I was thinking some sort of silicon type white rubbery material that I could apply with a finger... It would need to attach to metal and the oily rubbery type plastic already existing (I think it's pvc)...... Interested in your thoughts????

Also in the process of driving home I managed to scuff the kick of the fridge in a few spots back to raw metal.. Ideas on what to do to fix this?? I'm thinking metho to clean first then apply selleys appliance repair white colour touch up????

Thanks guys,,
