Hi From Karuah
Hi, I'm John from Karuah (a little north of Newcastle). New to wood working, have dabbled in it a little most of my life but have never had a decent workshop but I've finally got my own place. My health is not the best and I was medically retired a few years back so I have plenty of time on my hands. Being out in the workshop beats sitting around watching tv

Welcome John, indeed being active in the workshop does beat sitting around watching tv. Hope all goes well in your woodworking.

Welcome John. Karuah is a lovely part of the world. Always stopped there for breakfast on the way north before the divided freeway went in.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "John".
There are quite a few members in the Hunter District [watch out for a get together] and across the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork...
Cheers crowie
PS - Keep an eye out as the Newcastle district mob occasionally have a Get Together, great way to met like minded folk....
The woodwork is a top way to relax and enjoy life so sir, have fun....
