How to replace window sill in situ, 1920's double hu
Hi,
Does anyone have experience replacing window sills in old double hung windows, 1920 Californian bungalow.
I've seen a video of 2 on how it can be done on youtube but the video is from the US etc. etc.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8iu9dLrV-E
I suspect the sill is finger jointed to the verticals, so it may not be as easy as the video.
Removing the entire window is not really an option.
What would be the appropriate timber to use and where could I source it.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated
