Hi fellow DIY"s and tradies. I have a double shash window that the white ants have attacked and have eaten about half of the top plate away .My question is what is the best way to repair it without removing the whole window assembly.I have removed all the inside trim and the ants have not touched anything else also i have noticed that there are no nails holding the frame to the house it relies only on the outside trim. Surely this is not standard building practice? Firstly i have a friend in a joinery shop so matching replacement parts is not a problem. Secondly i'm about half the way around the house with repairs to the other windows and frames were all the windows have been taken out and fully refurbished and put back in. Will post photo's having trouble uploading them. Thanks Chris
