Casement windows stays: Replacing
Hi.
I need to refurbish a couple of casement windows that don't open/shut properly.
- Old Queenslander house, casement windows probably 60-80 years old.
- Whitco-type stays LIKE THIS top & bottom.
- Track length of existing stay = 250 mm
From a web search the only replacements I can find are either 200/300/400 mm.
QUESTION:
How critical is track length for a replacement, and how do I determine a suitable replacement?
