A great summer in some ways
I don't like humidity much and this summer has worn me down at times BUT:
I have relished the number of butterflies and dragonflies around the place this summer.
In the bush along the creek behind our place the butterflies have swarmed out each morning.
We went on a trip out on the bay and I was astounded by the numerous butterflies crossing
from Fraser to the mainland, but not the other way.
Several trees have had a second flowering. The Blackwoods along the road, some of the Cassias,
Poinianas and Jacarandas. Other trees of the latter two mentioned have flowered continuously since
before Christmas.
The Banksias up here are going gang busters, especially in the control burn areas.
I don't recall any summer like this.

My summer has been has been interesting too. Due to the ar*e falling out the oil and gas industry, I have....
a) Seen us win the World Cup in cricket.
b) Spent a lot of time with family
c) Renewed my love of woodwork
d) Avoided the 50 degree days they don't report on the weather and...
e) Have, so far, dodged being made redundant like 40% of my industry colleagues.
Plus the weather in Adelaide has been perfect.
Ignore e and d, a,b and c are good.
Cheers
