    Default Annular Cutter Adaptor

Someone mentioned an annular cutter adaptor for a pedestal drill in a recent post. Seems like a good alternative to a hole saw for a couple of jobs I have coming up. Can't find out much about them so I was wondering if anyone has experience with these and any local suppliers so I can check them out.

Just checked H&F's catalogue and could not find them.

However, I am interested if the price is right, and it does the job.

The best that I know of, is the Swiss made Val-cut. I have the smallest Val-cut (sometime also spelled valcut) in the range and love it. But it is a bit pricy unless you can have time to find a used one. I know there is also a cheaper Chinese copy of the Val-cut sold by the lathe/mill manufacturer Wabeco.

These single cutter hole cutters work very different from a hole saw though, you need to firmly clamp down the workpiece.
