Covering a gas hot water service
Hi guys
I have a gas hot water service on the back wall of my house which is very prominent on the back decking. Its got warnings not to cover it over all over it, but would really like to do just that or try to make it blend in a little. Does anyone out there know what the reason for not covering them over if you were to leave the vent uncovered and if the cover wasnt something airtight where gas could accumulate. Give all the warnings I wont likely do it but am very curious why if you were sensible about it. Failing that I'm guessing that you really shouldnt be painting it either.
Thanks in advance.
