Default To those brave souls in London

The news has come through just now of what looks like a horrible terrorist attack in London.

I am sure all of us here send our best wishes and hope that the English members here and their families are all safe and well.

John Howard is fond of England so I am sure he will offer anything worthwhile that Australia can offer although I am not sure that there is much we can give that is needed other than our support and friendship.

While our sympathies are with England and London right now we also know England to be a tough and stout breed who are not easily beaten. If any terrorist thinks he can achieve anything with a cowardly attack there he is much mistaken. As much as I hate to speak well of the Pommies they are tough in a fight and will only make themselves stronger and harder because of this attack.

There isn't much I can say at this time to cheer you in the face of this attack other than that our thoughts here are with you.

    What Studley said.
Hope all our English members (esp. John & Janet) and those who have families in London are OK.

I add my thoughts and prayers for all with links to London especially, in the hope that our world inside and outside this group might remember the spirit of friendship and cooperation upon which society as we know it depends.

The people of the UK have given us much. All I can do is stand with you as we seek to treat people of the world with dignity despite the unspeakable actions of a few who sneak in to bring fear and distrust through cowardly carnage.

When the time is right, I'll also join with you to acknowledge the Emergency workers, Police, Hospital staff, and the ordinary commuter who faced danger to help their fellow.
