    Default Hello from Sydney

    Hi Friends

I just woke up one day recently with a woodworking bug!!!
So, I buy a Routing tool, a Circular Saw and Jig Saw (almost new) from a mate who hardly ever used them.
I want to start off with making a router table....

Thanks in advance for all your support guys and gals!!!

    John

G'day John, Welcome to the insanity.

Bitten by the bug, Thats similar to what happened to me about 14 years ago, & it still hasn't let go.

I started with a set of Stanley Chisels & a Ryobi Drop saw. Now I have my 6m x 6m shed so full of machinery that I have to wheel it out into the carport to do any work.

Goodluck, ask questions & post pictures.

    Steve

    Welcome to the forum.

I might suggest to ask your particular question on building a router table on either of the two sub-forums.

My first thought would be in General sub-forum, https://www.woodworkforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=11

And the second would be in the router sub-forum, https://www.woodworkforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=20

As you are basically building a large box to mount the router in. You can also do an advance search on router tables to get some ideas of what other members have built.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "John".
There are a heap of members in Sydney and surrounding areas.....
Some of us have gathered at one of the forum members home at Katoomba about 4 times for a meet & greet.
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodwork..
    Cheers crowie
