Record RPML300 Lathe
Hi,
I have just bought a Record RPML300 lathe, needs a little work.
Does anyone have a copy of a manual they could send me. I tried Record but they no longer provide the manual for this lathe, via their website.
Thanks in advance,
TM

have one myself. It's going to our son when he clears his junk out of his garage.
They are an excellent machine, easy to change bearings. One tip is that it can go out of alignment a little as the head is made to swivel. Easily re-aligned though.Cheers,
Jim

OK, thanks for the tip. (My first lathe)
I need to get a few things before I can arc it up in anger.
Seems to work well under no load though. Fingers crossed.

Sorry to keep going on but - if you're mounting it on a wooden bench it is worth raising it a bit to allow better access to the head swivel nut and also to the tee nuts for the banjo and the tailstock. If you take them off the last two have to be held up while you fiddle with the upper bolt. Or you hire a child with tiny hands to hold them in place. Lessons learned the hard way.
Cheers,
Jim

I am, and now that you mention it, those things make sense. (I'm the kind of guy who usually learns by making mistakes, but it's easier when someone makes them for you, so thanks for that.)
cheers,

Hi Jimbur. I just was given a Record RPML300 Lathe and I see that you posted a copy of the manual in 2014. I found your post but cannot access the attached file. Would you be kind enough to send me a copy? I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Poundy. Thanks for the reply. I am thinking I cannot access the files on my iPhone? I see the paper clip icon and “Attached Files”, but when I tap on them, nothing happens. I will try with my laptop. Thanks again for the quick response.

Hi, Jimbur posted the manual in PDF format above, in this thread. For
some reason, I had to access the full site in order to see the link. I very much appreciate Jimbur and Poundy for their help. If you have an issue DM me
with your email and I will send it
to you. Thanks.
