citris acid on small parts
Using metal sieve for holding small metal parts for electolysis...
Has anybody successfully done this ? I believe that electolysis betters citris acid most of the time for rust removal primarily because no actual material is removed......... but I think for small parts it might be better to use citris...
I'm worried that with a metal sieve you may not get a good electrical connection..... I mean, have you noticed that to get the process going sometimes you need to clean part of the items surface free of rust for connection of the negitive line....I can see heavily rusted small pieces sitting in the sieve but not derusting..... I want to avoid fiddly cleaning and if I'll have to shine every little piece(and there could be a couple dozen little pieces) to establish a connection prior then maybe citris acid would be better in this case.......? I haven't tried electolysis for many small pieces yet so I don't know .....appreciate feedback..
