True story but suited here

Many years ago my Father was working for a State justice department assisting and evaluating errant youths who had been before the bench.
One young man who shall remain nameless had limited literary skills and had been unemployed for a considerable period of his short life.
In an effort to try and set him on the straight and narrow my Father somehow managed to get him a job in a local abbatoir.
He handled this well and managed to keep out of trouble and even managed to save enough to buy a car, the gem was the letter received from his Mother:
'Dear Mr XX, thankyou for finding my son a steady job. He left school at 13 and up until now has never had a job. He is very happy at work and all his life he has wanted to work with animals...............
