OT: A Question of Style and Etiquette
Being a newbie here and a 'Murican at that, thought I'd better ask if I've offended anyone using "Oz" and "Ozzie" in my posts. I've seen and heard Australians refer to themselves in that manner and kinda liked it; so adopted it myself. (Humble apolozies if I've offended.)
If I'm outta line, please chastise me roundly, squarely, triangularly and any other way you choose. If there are any other misuses of the language we uncouth northerners regularly commit, please advise me of those too that I might avoid them.
Thanks for your attention. I really enjoy your forums and wouldn't want to offend (unknowingly, that is :>)).

Rabbit, don't worry about it (in Oz that's simplified to "no worries"). I can assure you, few Aussies would spend much time / energy worrying about what they called anyone else. One of our national pastimes is using deregatory (sp?) language on each other.
Welcome aboard

The term 'grammar nazi' was invented to make people, who don't know their grammar, feel OK about being uneducated.

BTW as to language just leave "yankee speech"at home and use English.
