Another Video Card Question
Hei Guys,
I know you can get cards with a tv out, is there a card that would allow you to use the tv as a pc monitor and have the tv and the pc in two windows on the same screen.
I know the picture quality will be lower, and to be honest I'm not sure why you would want to do this but a friend of mine wants to do it if it can be done.
Cheers
Paul

You could get a 'TV tuner' card for your PC (cheapies starting at about $60) which will allow you to tune television and display it onto your PC monitor in any size window you like. That's that bit out of the way.
Then, the 2nd part would be to simply connect a TV to the 'TV Out' of your PC and bingo, you SHOULD have what you're after. Not too sure why you'd want this though but I'm pretty sure the above system would work OK.

Another option is to have a TV with a picture-in-picture display and put the tv-out from the computer into one of the PIP inputs.
They laughed when I said I was going to be a comedian. They're not laughing now.

If you have a look here this is an external tuner I bought for my projector I built. It has all sorts of inputs and outputs including VGA in and out.
If you do a google search for it "AverTVbox9" it will bring up a list of where you can buy one. About $170 to $180.

This is a link to my projector thread. I have been using it now for about four months and it makes my 51cm TV suck.
