I need a holiday
Well kids,
The past 6 months has been full-on.
You know, selling house, buying house, moving house, new mortgage and work is as busy as ever. There is a deadline to meet and more projects to come.
Help!
I need a huuuuug.

Yes Wongo, I know the feeling. You're 34 and I'm pushing 61 and I'm surrounded by F...wits who can't take the time to read things correctly and give me the information I need to do my job. I'm at the stage that when the boss says Goodmorning to me I have to bite my tongue to stop from saying "Go and get@#$$%***&^ and shove your job up your #$@&!!!!"
Yes, the woodmuncher is having one of those days too.

You guys have got it easy. I've got two customers to move to a new server because the old one is being switched off in 3 weeks, no ifs no buts. There's a new version that is still being developed, also required in 3 weeks for a major launch. It needs at least 4 weeks to finish and test. Our settlement date on the house is in 4 weeks. On top of that, people keep ringing and emailing asking for things to be done. We've also got Easter in the middle of it all. It's too wet today to go for a ride and so I probably wont get a swim in either. I'm hungover from last night (8th anniversary), my coffee has gone cold and I've run out of biscuits. Do you hear me complaining?

I just had three weeks holiday and it is a dim and distant memory now. The refreshing feeling of the holiday lasted for about 3 hours.

I've got about six weeks due to me,"Hey Boss, how about YOU do some work for the next five weeks".
With a bit of luck he'll realise how he doesn't need me and I'll be made redundant, and get 14 weeks pay for that, and my long service leave, and "hey Centrelink, try and find a job for a 61 year old who doesn't want one"
Oh shirt, how am I going to buy more toys on the rock&roll

Including one week in the delightful Lennox head.
Just off to see if I can win the badge draw at the club.

Boys – I have to tell you that I have finally decided to pull the pin. I’ve been planning this for over a year. The intention is to retire from my present crust-earning occupation and take things a little more easily.
I don’t intend to cease work altogether but I’m not looking for a full-time job, either. Once I’ve had a short break I’ll be doing some part-time consulting.
So: lend me your watch while I tell you the time and I’ll charge you heaps!

I've got at least another 20 years to go. Knowing my luck, they'll come up with a cure for old age and everything else between now and then and they'll make the retirement age 100

Having had 3 MCI's they decided at 45 I was probably fit for the scrap heap - well as a warehouse mangler with everyone wanting everything yesterday, they are probably right. I don't bear fools easily and unfortunately I was christened with perfection as a second name
So they pay me a disability pension because they worked out that no-one was going to hire me with my medical record and that would reduce the dole number.
Now after that policy, little johnnie wants to reverse everything and get me back to work. I wonder if he's worked out how his mignons are going to achieve that. Probably not - he's probably just told the missinglink to DO it.
I play mum now and the missus works and is doing her masters in psychology. not much pension anymore but it covers the cost of the pills if nothing else. We've been skint and struggling on several occasions but we get by and let me tell you - it's bloody great up here.
I'm off to get the boys - that's my work for today - everything else is - a bloody holiday

My Holiday is too long !
Unfortunately, I was placed on the corporate scrap-heap in November, and have spent every day since then, trying to return to work.
I must say however, that spending time with the family is great , but an income would be greater, as the mortgage and bills do not take holidays.
Little Johnny has also decided, that until the accumulated unused annual leave and pro-rata LSL, has to expire (timewise) before any assistance is forthcoming!!.
