I'm currently painting an old, plywood dinghy. Stripped all the old paint back to the plywood. Was aghast at all the old repairs, dings and rot. Repaired same. Gave her four coats of primer, then a coat of top coat. Looking good. Then I gave her the second coat of top coat. 10% of the job is great. A large whack of it is matt, like primer. Another large whack is full of tiny bubbles and about 10% is covered in crazed cracks.

The paint is an expensive, Dulux enamel - thought I'd do the job properly. Pah! Should have known better. Gawd knows what's gone wrong. I've bunged another coat on in the hope it'll fix/hide it. I certainly am in no mood to strip the bugger back again.

Grrrrrrr
