Spraying water based acylic
Finishing off a display stand for some souvenir products today.
Squirted a coat of sanding sealer on, didn't have any lacquer so I was looking for a substitute and found a new can of Solver aqua acrylic.
Ok so lets try this stuff out. Take the lid off - it looks like thinned down PVA glue.
It laid on very well, dried in about 20 -30 minutes.
A good looking finish. Denibbed as easily as lacquer - unlike poly.
Would probably need 4 coats or so to do a fine furniture finish.
Probably a reasonable alternative to lacquer in cold weather.
While I had the gun loaded I also sprayed some inkjet photos to see if they would bleed. Excellent result. Now if I do a run of prints I can use the spraygun instead of messing with aerosol cans or celloglaze
