Yea, well gidday!
Hi, new member joining from the shakey isles, we are about 80kms south of Christchurch in a small, but very active, country town.
Newly retired and looking for ideas for things to do in my shed!

Welcome aboard
G'Day John
Let me roll out the red carpet for.
You say you are looking for inspiration for your shed! Well just keep reading all the information on this Forum and you will soon realise just how valuable a site it is. The range of topics is so vast that you will always have an answer to a problem you never thought of asking about. The experience that is evident in all subjects is astounding so you should never get stumped, well not for long anyway.
I find it a great resource and even as a time filler there is always plenty to read about. Hope to see some of your contributions as time goes by
By the way are you suffering any damage to property due to the earthquakes? And how do you and your fellow countrymen live with the ever present threat?Just do it!
Kind regards Rod

G'day mate and thanks for the welcome.
We are 80ks or so from the main earthquake area and although we have had a bit of damage in this town and some old brick building stickered we had stuff rattle on the shelf and that was about it. Hopefully they are past most of it now.
No one seems to post pictures here, whats the drill on that?
Cheers

John
You can post pictures.
You have to search around a bit to find out the procedure but someone will help you out. I have only done it once or twice but there are others who are dab hands at the procedureJust do it!
Kind regards Rod

Welcome aboard.
Heard Ashburton refered to as "Ash-vegas" on the TV weather report tonight. So it's official now.
There's a couple of good museums in the area, I should get myself organized to have a look next time I go through.

Hi Sean, yes the Tinwald museum and the aviation museum.
I will be passing through your town on Monday heading up to Woodbourne to pick up some accessories to go with our Skyhawk. It wont be my vehicle and I doubt we will be stopping.
