1954 Futurology
No; this is not my computer, although it seems like it sometimes; it is what Popular Mechanics predicted in 1954 that a home computer would look like in 2004.

What vision they had in those days, while mine doesn't actually look the same, the way it acts sometimes it might as well be the same.

How about the telly strung up on the wall.
Was that so you could watch "The Honneymooners" while you were waiting for your program to load ?

I especially like the big steering wheel. Helps heaps with navigating from one site to the next. I didn't see a compass anywhere. ??? One could get lost in cycber space.

The term 'grammar nazi' was invented to make people, who don't know their grammar, feel OK about being uneducated.

Why did they stick it in a switch gear room?

Well spotted Grunt. I have to admit I didn't read the caption.
I guess the late 50's early sixties telly strung on the wall is a bit of a give away too.
It's still a funny pic though.
