    Smile Orange tung oil

Yep we used it on a kitchen bench and I'm still to get photos and give the whole story. It is a beautiful finish for timber if you like buffed matte. We have oiled and waxed and I top up the wax by hand in the high wear spots when I feel like a bit of relaxing wood polishing. Also I try to wax just before we go away for a holiday to give max curing time.

The oil takes a while to go off as the orange oil cutting agent is slower than petroleum based ones, I understand. Bit of angst during that process as we were using the bench and water marks appeared. They are no longer of concern although do come and go.

FYI we have oiled floors too and they are equally fabulous to live on and with, used tung oil thinned with terpenes but more than in Orange Oil. I did a lot of research!

Hope this is not too late for you.
