Hi from perth
HI everyone my names mark and I recently escaped from England.
I am currently enjoying working with new native timbers.
If there is anyone else outhere from Perth feel free to contact me,I spent most of my time on my own in the workshop while the girlfriend does actual paid work.
Am I the only person in Perth that doesn't drive ?

Welcome Mark.
Yeah the native timbers are a lot of fun.
How are you coping with the hot weather?
I don't have a car right now either - but that is because another driver asleep at the wheel ran onto me head on! Luckily I was only doing about 10 kph and he was doing about 50 kph.

Hi Mark and welcome to the forum and welcome to Australia.. Most people drive in Australia. I guess its because we don't have the same public transport system as the UK. We had some visitors over from England a couple of weeks ago and neither one of them could drive. They just hop on a bus or train to wherever they go but found it a whole new ball game here.
Reality is no background music.
Cheers John

Hi Mark,
Welcome to warm, sunny Perth. I see you have already sorted out your priorities in relation to 'sheds and girlfriends'. Nice one.
As you will soon find out by reading the posts here, there is a keen contingent of woodworkers here in Perth, plus associations, clubs, schools, courses and well known professional craftsmen. Am sure there will be plenty of woodwork and people to interest you here in WA.
Cheers
Pops
