How to finish laminated MDF
I bought an off cut of 16mm MDF with a 1mm layer of Jarrah to use in my garage as an assembly table.
I am looking at finishing the top to make it more durable. Because the laminate is so thin is this going to be a problem?
Would hard burnishing oil be ok? Or maybe just a wax finish ?
Thanks for any help

Any spray laquer should do it. If you haven't got a spray facility and hard, white-spirit-based, marine varnish would be good. Or if you want to be green a water-based laquer should also be fine.
Hope this helps,
