Default WOODWORKING QUIZ for 22 Oct 04

    Good Evening Friends,
When making counter tops with an L on one end. How wide can you make the L without a joint in the corner? Most counter tops have a 45º joint in the corner.

    Good Evening Friends,
Since plastic laminate can be bought in 5' (1.524 M), you can laminate one counter top with an L shape without a joint/seam in the corners at 45º.

    Thank you for your support.

    Respectfully,

You have not answered your own question Ralphy. How wide can the top be without a join? I want a counter top that is 1.6 metres wide. Can I make it without any joins in the L

You can in Australia, sheet widths for laminates and substrates go up to 1800.

In that case then I want it to be 1.9 metres wide.
