finishing recycled messmate?
hey there,
just wanted some advice in regards to finishing a bookcase that i have made using recycled messmate.
ideally, i would like to apply a finish that doesn't alter the color of the timbers natural state (although this is rather wishful!) and just provides a low sheen.
if i get get some advice that would be great!!
cheers,tom.

Hey Tom,
The best finish I know and use is U-Beaut's Hard Shellac. It doesn't change the colour of the timber and you can polish it to high gloss, or a sheen
Cheers

finishing recycled messmate
hi wendy, thanks for the response. i've just been doing some research into the shellac and it seems a lot of people have been having some difficulty applying the shellac to their projects. i know this may seem like a difficult question to answer, but what kind of application methods do you recommend? what should i consider before and after application?
thanks again, tom.
