    Default Moving Back to Queensland

    I was wondering if any in the know can reccomend any removalists, that are a reasonable price to ship the fam back to Brisbane. I was looking at around the $2500 mark. I hope this is not unrealistic.

    It cost me $1300 5 years ago to move from Ballina to between Tamworth and Armidale and I thought that was a reasonable price. I would contact the Brisbane removalists and see if there is any doing any backloads. You may get it a bit cheaper.

    Get on the net and look for removalists in the classifieds of the papers at either end. Did this and found a guy with no load back and got a great deal. If you've got time then all the better but backloading advertisers are your best bet and don't be afraid to bargain a bit, most of these guys are sole operators and will do it for the best price they can survive on. Hunt around.

    I was in the distribution business for 20 years. It's worth the search.

    I take a different approach to moving house....everything either gets sold or goes out on the front lawn and then up in flames.

    If I had kids Id probably sell them off as slaves or stick them on the bonfire as well.
