Old 40's style home alloy window replacement
This is not the same house as my other thread but another one I'm doing up.
It's an old double brick 40's style home. The 2500 x 1500 meter wooden sash window is had it and i want to place ally window frame totally across it.
Did these older style homes have lintels or do they just rely on the window supports in the middle to brace the brick work - surely not?
I just want to avoid threading needles and destroying half the wall just to slot an ally in.
Any suggestions would be good.
