Sealing timber window and door frame
Hi all
I am just about ready to install the timber frames in our extension project and was looking to get peoples opinions on pre sealing the frames before installation.
I know they have had a light seal at the factory but I'm not sure this will be sufficient. My main concern is two big sets of bifolds sitting on the slab.
The frames will be painted so no problems about colouring the timber. My supplier thinks it is not really necessary but I have seen first hand what has happened at a friend of mines place where the underside of the frames where not sealed.
Any opinions / experiences would be appreciated.
Cheers
