Another for the computer whizzes
Spybot has detected DSO-EXPLOIT. On removal attempt it ticks the item as removed but after going to other programs DSO-EXPLOIT seems to be still there.
!. What is DSO-EXPLOIT?
2.How dangerous is it?
3.How do I remove it?

PS: Don't write too fast, I am a slow reader. Had a good education, just didn't learn much. Went to night school, can't read in the day time. What a lot of rot, but that's me.

Peter R .....
Mine shows the same thing ... I recall chasing it up once and I think it basically said that it was a security hole that microsoft should fix ..... other than that no real drama.
In Spybot you can click on the problem and it will give you links to find out further information.
This is what mine said about DSO
Company: Microsoft
Product: Internet Explorer
Threat: Security hole
Company URL:
http://www.microsoft.com/
Company product URL:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/
Company privacy URL:
http://www.microsoft.com/info/privacy.htm
Description
There's a security hole in IE allowing websites to execute code without asking you first. You can find more information at http://security.greymagic.com/adv/gm001-ie/

DSO-Exploit
I have never been to a site, I don't own a pornagraph, and I have never been to a brothel 'cause I don't own a....well I do but I haven't taken it to a brothel, and I have never been to the moon....So there!!!
I might add, I was asking about DSO for my daughter-in-law who is too proud to admit, after comprehensive Tafe training on computers, that she is stumped by a little bug.
But thank you to all those fine chaps out there that answered sensibly. It is good to know that there is some sanity in the world.
