    Default Veneer table restoration

G'day all, I have a large table that has a hardwood veneer top that had white heat ring marks and some black circular marks that don't appear to be burns. I have removed the white marks along with the scuff marks from years of use as a "Work bench" using Howards 'restor-a-finish'. Can anyone suggest how to remove the black rings with out sanding the whole top. Wish now I had taken a photo before I started.

If Restore-a-finish will not remove the marks, the only option is to sand the top. However, why not leave the marks, as they are a feature of the tables age.
Was Howards Feed-n-Wax used after the restore? If not, us it as it will make a big difference and produce a pleasing finish.

If it looks like a tannic reaction to a liquid, then try oxalic acid.

If it looks like any kind of ink- light two part bleach has worked the best for me.
