very dark stain required for outdoor furniture
Hi all,
Has anyone had any experience with applying a very dark (almost black) stain/oil to garden furniture with some success and without the pigment ending up on your pants?
I have some garden furniture that I have been asked to restore and I need to replace the slats with either jarrah or merbau. The request is for a very dark stained, preferably oiled finish. I am worried that the stain will leach out and get on your clothing, especially after moisture has settled on the furniture. I have found that with oil based furniture oil (organol I think it was) after a dewy morning the oil tended to come out of the timber (teak).
Any suggestions?
Cheers,
FrankG
